Elegant, sensual, slightly restrained but with nice clarity and focus. Balanced out more like a Priorat (not surprisingly, Bertrand Sourdais studied with Alvaro Palacios as well as in Ribera del Duero where he blew away French critics with a Tempranillo that outshone 2000 Chateau LaTour in their comparison). This is not the farm to table kind, more likely the selection for a refined bottle list, as was the case here.
