Even if you’re not a big fan of white wine, you should probably try this. All of those fears stemming from lollipop acid-wash burning down your throat, slicing open your esophagus like razor-blade shards are over. Nightmare be gone- here is sunshine and sweet grass and hammocks. I’m not sure, but this may have been my first time drinking Romorantin, which is 100% of the grape in this bottle. Apparently it’s related to Chardonnay too, but damn, soo much better. It was a great occasion to pretend that we’re not rapidly approaching the dead of winter, feasting on scallop crudo, crabcake, and monkfish cheeks. With all the heavy meals this time of year, it’s pretty wonderful to eat and drink things that taste so clean.

And yes, it really is like rocking gently in a hammock on a summer day.
